Version 1.0 · Effective 13 September 2026
This policy forms part of our Booking Terms & Conditions and applies to all course bookings made with The Centre for Advanced Dental Education Ltd ("CADE", "we", "us"). It explains your right to cancel, when refunds are given, and how to transfer or defer your place.
To cancel, transfer or defer, email us at email us stating your name and booking reference. Notice takes effect on the date we receive it.
1. Your 14-day cooling-off period
Where you book online, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of booking, without giving a reason, and to receive a full refund of everything you have paid, including the deposit.
If the course begins within your 14-day cancellation period and you attend, we may deduct a proportionate amount for the teaching delivered before you cancelled.
Refunds under this section are made within 14 days of your cancellation, using your original payment method.
2. Cancelling after the cooling-off period
Cohort places are strictly limited and are often declined to other applicants once a cohort is full, so the following applies if you cancel after the 14-day cooling-off period.
More than 8 weeks before your cohort's first session
The deposit is retained. Nothing further is payable and any other sums you have paid are refunded. Your instalment plan is cancelled.
8 weeks or less before your cohort's first session
The deposit is retained and 25% of the remaining course fee is payable.
After your cohort's first session has taken place
The full course fee remains payable and your instalment plan continues. We do not refund fees for sessions not attended.
For these purposes, the first session is Friday 2 October 2026 for the Hale cohort and 11 December 2026 for the Ely cohort.
Exceptional circumstances. Where you need to withdraw because of serious illness, bereavement or comparable exceptional circumstances, we will always discuss the options with you sympathetically. These may include deferral to the next cohort under section 4, or a discretionary partial refund. We may ask for supporting evidence.
3. Transferring between sites
You may transfer your place between Hale and Ely before your cohort starts, subject to availability, at no charge. Where the two cohorts have different start dates, any fee difference is payable or refundable as applicable.
4. Deferring to the next cohort
You may defer your place to the next cohort once, subject to availability.
- Requests made more than 8 weeks before your cohort's first session: no charge
- Requests made 8 weeks or less before the first session: an administration fee of £250 + VAT applies
Fees already paid transfer with your place. If the fee for the new cohort is higher, the difference is payable. Early bird rates do not carry across to a later cohort.
5. If we cancel or change a course
If we cancel a course, or a cohort does not proceed, you will be offered a transfer to the alternative site, a place in the next cohort, or a full refund of everything you have paid. Refunds are made within 14 days.
We may reschedule an individual taught session or change a venue where reasonably necessary, and we will give as much notice as we can. Rescheduling an individual session does not entitle you to a refund of the course fee. Live clinical session dates may flex to suit case readiness and patient availability; this is part of the programme design.
Beyond offering a transfer or refund as set out above, we are not liable for travel, accommodation or other costs you incur in connection with a cancelled or rescheduled session. We recommend booking travel and accommodation on flexible terms.
6. Non-payment
If an instalment fails, we will contact you and reattempt collection. If payment remains outstanding 14 days after the due date, we may suspend your attendance and withhold certification until the account is brought up to date. Continued non-payment is treated as cancellation by you under section 2, and the unpaid balance for the course remains due.
7. Exclusion for conduct
Where a delegate is excluded for serious or persistent misconduct, unsafe practice, or behaviour that puts patients, staff or other delegates at risk, fees for teaching already delivered are not refunded. Any refund of the remainder is at our reasonable discretion.
8. Fees where the qualification is not achieved
Course fees pay for the teaching, supervision, assessment and registration provided, not for the award itself. Fees are not refundable if the Diploma is not achieved, or if delays in providing suitable patient cases affect your progression or completion date.
9. How refunds are paid
Refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 days of the refund being agreed. Where a refund is due on an instalment plan, we cancel the remaining instalments at the same time.
10. Questions and complaints
If you have a question about this policy, or you are unhappy with a decision made under it, contact us at email us. We will acknowledge within 2 working days and aim to respond fully within 10 working days.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.
